Brighton Adventist Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children.
Each child is given the opportunity to grow as an individual
Each child is given individual attention according to their needs
Each child is valued and praised for their particular traits and talents
Each child knows they are loved and appreciated by fellow students and staff
Each family knows that they are a part of their child's education
Each family knows that they are a valued part of the BAA family
When asked about what is special about BAA, a common answer is it is a group effort. We are a big family. Many of us have known each other for many years, in fact, many our families grew up together. However, we are ALWAYS looking for new people to come and join this family. Many of our parents are involved however they can be. All of us are working families. And even if someone can't volunteer during the day, there are other ways many families help.
Something else that is special--of course learning is a huge part of a school (obviously!)! But every other week, our older students go and volunteer at our church food bank. It is important they appreciate volunteering, but, they also see (and carry) all the food, and we mean thousands of pounds of food, that our community needs to survive.
We have a sports program. But it is special. The program includes 6th-9th grade. We play other Christian schools in the area. Its's not super competitive, but the students learn to work in a team. This year, at the conclusion of eveyr sport season, (soccer, volleyball, basketball) the schools have all gotten together at one school, mixed up schools/teams and have had a tournament day!
