Mission Statement
Brighton Adventist Academy intentionally connects students with classroom learning, character
development, and essential life skills in a Christian environment that delivers academic excellence
valuing each individual as a creation of God gifted with unique talents for service to others.
Core Values
At Brighton Adventist Academy, we intentionally live out the CHERISH Core Values, joining schools across the Rocky Mountain Conference in cultivating Christ-centered character through daily actions and relationships. These values shape not only what we teach, but how we treat one another, how we learn, and how we grow together as a school community.
CHERISH stands for:
- Christ-Centered
We place Jesus at the heart of all we do, allowing His love and truth to guide our decisions, relationships, and learning. - Honor
We show respect to God, ourselves, and others through our words, attitudes, and actions. - Exploration
We approach learning with curiosity and wonder, developing a love for discovery in both academics and faith. - Responsibility
We take ownership of our actions, our learning, and our role within the school community. - Integrity
We choose to do what is right, even when it is difficult or when no one is watching. - Service
We use our gifts to serve others with humility, compassion, and a Christ-like spirit. - Heroism
We strive to stand for what is right, show courage in our character, and make a positive difference in the world around us.
These are more than values we recite, they are values we practice daily, as we seek to truly cherish one another as children of God.
Our Approach
We believe education should be relational, intentional, and rooted in purpose. Our multi-grade classrooms allow students to grow as leaders, collaborators, and independent learners.

Christ at the Center
Academic achievement and physical growth are important parts of a child’s development, but the most important work we do at Brighton Adventist Academy is helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Spiritual growth can be difficult to measure, yet it remains at the heart of everything we do. We believe that a Christ-centered education begins with teachers and staff who genuinely love Jesus and are committed to reflecting His character each day. Through their example, students experience God’s love in meaningful and practical ways.
Each school day begins with worship and prayer, creating opportunities for students to connect with God and build a foundation of faith. Weekly chapels, Bible classes, and spiritual emphasis activities help students develop a personal relationship with Jesus, understand God’s Word, and build a Biblical worldview that guides their decisions and actions.
We also believe faith is meant to be lived. Through service projects, leadership opportunities, and acts of kindness within our school, churches, and community, students learn what it means to follow Jesus by serving others.
When Christ is at the center, we see students flourish, not only spiritually, but academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our goal is to help every child discover their God-given purpose and develop into a confident learner, compassionate servant, and faithful disciple of Jesus.
At Brighton Adventist Academy, putting God first is not simply one part of our program, it is the foundation upon which everything else is built.
Exceptional Teachers
At Brighton Adventist Academy, our teachers are much more than educators, they are mentors, role models, and partners in each child’s journey of growth. Together, our dedicated staff brings decades of experience, a passion for learning, and a deep commitment to helping every student succeed.
We believe that every child is uniquely created by God with gifts, talents, and a purpose. That is why our teachers strive to know each student personally, building meaningful relationships that foster confidence, character, and a love for learning. Through engaging instruction, individualized support, and high expectations, our team works to help every student reach their God-given potential.
Our educators are committed to developing the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. They create learning experiences that challenge students academically, encourage healthy growth, and cultivate important life skills such as responsibility, perseverance, leadership, and service.
Most importantly, our teachers seek to place Christ at the center of everything they do. Through daily worship, Biblical integration, prayer, and Christlike example, they help students grow in faith while creating a school culture marked by kindness, respect, joy, and purpose.
At Brighton Adventist Academy, students are known, valued, challenged, and loved, and our teachers are at the heart of making that possible every day.

Academic Excellence with Purpose
At Brighton Adventist Academy, we believe every child is uniquely created by God with the ability to learn, grow, and succeed. Our academic program is designed to challenge students while supporting their individual needs, helping them develop both the knowledge and character necessary for lifelong success.
Through a strong foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and Bible, students engage in meaningful learning experiences that foster curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Our teachers utilize research-based instructional practices, differentiated learning opportunities, and ongoing assessment to ensure each student is growing and reaching their God-given potential.
We believe education is about more than mastering academic content. Our goal is to help students become confident learners, effective communicators, thoughtful problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, collaborate with others, and develop a growth mindset that prepares them for future academic success.
As a Seventh-day Adventist school, faith is intentionally integrated throughout the curriculum. Students are encouraged to view the world through a Biblical lens, recognizing God’s presence in every subject and discovering how their learning connects to His purpose for their lives.
Through high academic standards, individualized support, and Christ-centered instruction, Brighton Adventist Academy strives to develop the whole child—growing confident minds, strong bodies, and loving spirits.
Athletics and Activities
At Brighton Adventist Academy, athletics are about much more than competition, they are an opportunity to develop character, build relationships, and honor God through our actions. Our sports program is intentionally designed to help students grow physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while learning valuable life skills that extend far beyond the playing field.
Through participation in athletics, students develop teamwork, discipline, perseverance, leadership, responsibility, and confidence. We believe that the lessons learned through practice, competition, and teamwork are just as important as the final score. While we encourage students to compete with excellence and give their best effort, we place an even greater emphasis on sportsmanship, integrity, respect, and kindness, whether we win or lose.
As proud Blackhawks, our students are challenged to represent their school, teammates, and faith with honor. Athletic opportunities are available for eligible students in our upper grades and may include volleyball, basketball, soccer, and other activities based on student interest and participation. Students are encouraged to maintain strong academic performance and demonstrate positive citizenship both in and out of the classroom.
Our coaches and volunteers are committed to creating experiences that are safe, meaningful, and memorable. Most importantly, they seek to help students develop Christlike character, encouraging them to lead with humility, serve others, and reflect Jesus in their attitudes and actions.
At Brighton Adventist Academy, we believe athletics provide another avenue for students to discover their God-given gifts, build lasting friendships, and learn what it means to follow the Jesus Way—in competition, in teamwork, and in life.
